Foundation Replacement, Re-levelling And Extension of A Traditional Christchurch Home

This earthquake damaged home needed a partial foundation replacement, re-levelling and an extension. The building was first supported so that part of the original foundations could be removed. Many hours were spent excavating under the house once we had it had been fully secured.

New form work was created and re-enforced with steel in preparation of the concrete pouring for the new foundation. The concrete was then poured and pumped into the new form work.

The property needed re-levelling and you can see in our photos the jack being used to realign the building ready for the new foundations.

An extension of the house footprint was also achieved at the same time by extending the form work for a bigger foundation.
